Crowstar Cherryheart padded to the reqular place where she and Crowstar usually meet. But this time, about to be kitting. She layed down near the bush where she had last met with Crow. After a while of waiting, two kits had been born. A light gray and a nearly black-gray. With tears in the young tabby eyes, she prayed to MoonClan that Thistlestar wouldn't find out about their birth that broke the code.
Crowstar padded back to the usual meeting spot of himself and Cherryheart, having not expecting the suprise that she had in store for him. As he approached the spot, his nose sniffed blood. fur bristling, the tom cautiously followed the smell, leading to Cherryheart.. Frantic, he ran to her side and made sure that she was still alive. Luckily she was. A fox? Badger? Was there a new threat to the clan? What if it was Thistlestar?
Eyes racing, they finally fell onto two bundles of fur. He wanted to ask her a question, already knowing the answer. "Who's the father of these kits?" he demanded. No. The spirits were probably sinning the two, bringing life to half-clan kits. No. This was not happening.
Cherryheart shut her eyes as the tears rolled down her face. "You" she murmured with regret. Why have I done this? She asked herself. She opened her eyes to look at him, waiting for his expression.
"They would not be able to know who their other parent is."
No. No. No! He screamt inside, chest heaving with such pain. No! He did not want to have kits! He did not want to be a father! Why did this have to happen?! His teeth bared, and he unsheathed his claws, about to cry, but not now. Not in front of Cherryheart. No. He had to be strong in front of her.
Eyes narrowed, he stared at the two kits, pushing away everything else in the world. Those were their kits, but in the end, they would have to remain in one clan. They would not be able to know who their other parent is. "What are we doing to do with them?" he demanded. "One of our queens will have to take them in, and you would have to ask for borage leaves from your medicine cat."
OOC: I think it's borage. LOL. The ones that Leafpool had to use.
(Yup it is) Cherryheart looked at the dark gray Tom and sighted. She lifted him by the scruff and placed him at Crowstar's paws. "Take care of him, he's your son. One of the queens can nurse him." Cherryheart looked up at Crowstar, with hopeful eyes. (DNS is not working on my computer. So stuck on my iPhone 5c)
"I hope that out kits never have to challenge any of the four of us in a battle."
He stared down at the kit and back to Cherryheart. What a hopeless little creature. It did not do anything wrong, its parents did, and now it would not know the true meaning of family. "I promise that I would watch over him." he vowed, sniffing the kit and then the tabby one. He assumed that Cherryheart made the wise judgement to bring him the kit that looked more like him, so that he could claim the kit as his, but what about Cherryheart? Things would be alot harder for her since she was not a queen. Which queen would accept the kit?
"I hope that our kits never have to challenge any of the four of us in a battle."
Cherryheart's ears pricked when the Tom began to whine. She sighted when the she-cat was starting to do the same. She stood up and placed her muzzle in his neck. "I have to go. She will starve without my sister, Shadowheart's milk. Promise me you will meet at the bush in the gathering clearing and tell me how he is doing. Robinblaze found out and said he would feed me to the badgers if I kept on meeting with you. The Clan doesn't know these kits are yours. They think they are Russetpelt's. Il make it seem like the fox attacked me and killed them" she meowed. "I love you" she murmured. She looked at her son once more. She licked him on his head and smiled " I will see you at the gathering in six moons, know that I love you no matter what" Cherryheart sadly padded away with the she-kit in her jaws.
